I agree, that help should be the responsibility of the government, not individual private citizens (ie, mom and pop landlords).

@Faustin Hoover Wholesaling is running rampant in this city...while this is a personal prediction, we're reaching a point where enough brokers/agents are getting irritated and pushing back...the Division of Real Estate is the regulatory agency...typical state government...almost a total lack of accountability and oversight.

I called my Magistrate a few days ago and found out I can still evict since I have no federally backed mortgage and do not receive any government subsidies.

The tech space could really boom in that period of time, regulations and governments will change and the trend could be changed by then.

@Ben Magee I know in Des Moines, the City government is in the early phases of how to update the zoning code to allow ADUs.

Antarctica is a close second but you will have to form your own government there.  

Unfortunately, that is very doubtful as the case did not address the ability of states(many have bans in place) or municipalities to place bans but only the federal government 

Whatever you decide if you are going to be a LL pay attention to all the steps in the process; the government is not your friend especially in California!
