It would be great if there was some type of group to unify like minded investors to aid and promote in this development. 

A fixed piece of glass or painted piece of plywood (if no light is needed) would look much better and probably be easier to install...

I personally like to spend a lot of time on the education piece to determine right fit.  

To add to some of those that you have already mentioned.Red: No written contract and wants money up front (assuming you have not est a relationship).Run:  Absolute piece of s*** vehicle that usually does not fit the stereotype of the trade they claim to be a part of.Red: Cant return a phone call in a timely fashion.

Not right, but could work.... or, get one that's a touch too big, get the right tool and swage the supply line out to make the shutoff fit.... or, use the size conversions Michael Karl suggested to find the right piece to make the connection.
