What they have done is seized upon the public's dislike of landlords and fanned the fires of discontent.Someone needs to force them to the table, and in this case the only way to do that is through the courts, regardless of whether they can hear cases next week or not- they need to know that it is not OK.In the last 20 years we have gotten way to comfortable in this country with law by executive fiat.

The upside is I mitigated risks via insurance and by doing everything right.Then we had a minor fire in the repair shop and several employees were hospitalized, mostly smoke inhalation.

@Matt Dinofia I've always used Francesca Smith out of Petuluma, with Mckenzie-Smith Insurance, they are independent so if CIG won't write the policy because of some stupid fire map they can also get you something else.

Got the insurance proceeds from the fire applied to the total payoff of the loan allowing us to not have to go through the collection process when purchasing the property.
