Unless, you are a production home builder constructing the same unit plan over and over again, a custom or one-off design can only be roughly assessed for total construction schedule.

I dont appreciate the blanket statements about poor customer service.

It’s a customer service position (which you already know how to do from RE sales).

If the customer bounces a check , I can take them to court for passing bad paper . 

So that I don't say "Hey, this year I spent $150k, took in $0 income"  when I file taxes, and can then say next year "Hey last year I had $150k in expenses, plus $100k this year, and sold for $300k, I want the tax to be on $50k profits..." something along these lines.I will be in the business of building specs, doing remodels, and maybe customs.

It is in an unpleasant colour which doesn't match the wall colour (we painted the entire home).We renovated our old home and rented it, so in the beginning, I thought to call the same custom glass company, who helped us with our old home renovation works.

We bought slightly smaller windows and added custom framing then trimmed the outside with vinyl boards.
