We passed both our Life and Safety as well as our Health inspections on the first try, which is extremely difficult to do.  

They have no money to leave and are in very poor health.  

For many types of repairs that are health and safety related (heating, roof that does not leak, working drainage, water, ability to secure the doors and windows) a landlord can not hold the tenant financially responsible no matter what the tenant signs.

However, there is a huge tower 3 blocks away that could be seen anywhere in the neighborhood.It's a cookie cutter neighborhood so many houses nearby do have the same situation.I read that besides being a fire hazard, the magnetic field might cause health issue therefore affects price appreciation.

But the flip side is most landlords are mom and pops that need that rent increase to keep up with their own cost of living increases, be it health care, fuel prices, or taking a family trip.I am actually in a position now. 

Hi @John Rulloda,In Missouri, in order to withhold from paying rent, you would need to prove that the property did not meet basic structural, health, or safety standards.
