The good news is you can defer these gains(and capital gains) via Starker exchanges.

The one that I was most surprised about was about no deaths, suicides, hidden defects, etc -- was crossed out.So I googled the property (can't believe I didn't do it before) and there's a news article from 2012 about a woman who was stabbed to death in the neck there!

She wasn't very happy about that news :-(Its ok, we ended up crashing on my friends couch and moved her in a week later - and yes we're still together!  

Funny timing too--my wife had one of the morning news shows on today as we were getting the kids ready and they played a clip of cell phone video of Grant Cardone talking about his experience being on a plane that had an engine go out due to a bird strike.  

Apparently in the news the other day, there was a bit about scams on Craigslist.
