Why make a comment to him about his work ethic or drive when you don't know him or what path he was taking in the medical field? 

In addition, another student who lives in the house has allergies, and may or may not have medical issues with living with a dog.On the one hand, I know that a "real" service dog is going to be much better trained and behaved than a random pet, so I might be ok with it. 

I am currently undergoing the process to enlist in the Armed Forces, the army, the only problem being they are waiting for an okay from my medical documents which are out of my control.

Only a medical professional that is treating the tenant for a medical condition can "prescribe" emotional support animals. 

In many instances, there isn't even a "pet" to charge additional fees to or for since many states consider them to be "medical devices." 

"Average" medical doctors, and "FIRE" Doctors are very different, as always you shouldn't make assumptions about people, but I 100% have seen folks like I described above, as well as the FIRE ones.

While not opposed, we've never knowingly rented to a medical professional, yet.
