Personally I'm a big fan of the Dripping Springs area for a personal residence although it'll be a little bit of a drive to get into town.

@Todd GoedekeI bought my house as a resale so it was already furnished so I didn’t spend near that but that’s why I am a big fan buying that way, plus the amount of inventory to buy and savings.

I was planning on doing the less aggressive house hacking strategy from the beginning (buying a multifamily home, living in one unit and renting the rest) as I'm not a big fan of having roommates again.

We live in an area that has frequent rent increases and units that cater to her needs are few and far between.
