Was it overly complicated?

Over the past 6 months I have been really researching and devoting myself to self improvement and learning.

I currently own 4 doors over here in the Southern-Orchards and Hungarian Village part of Columbus.

As an out of town owner, one benefit of Madison is that we do have a good supply of property management companies to consider. 

To avoid the risk management/insurance that comes with tenants' wood fire use:I'm thinking to seal the chimney cap on roof and run a cord putting an electric Infrared heater fireplace in there, so they can still open the glass and get heat and watch TV over the mantle, but can't burn anything or have any flame.

So I'm strongly considering adding a handful of these to my buy & hold portfolio.I understand that there's no "risk-free" method to acquiring these properties subto, but have any of you had success over the long-term acquiring properties with VA loans attached?
