Another consideration, the buyer of your contract should be running title to determine if there are outstanding liens on the property.  

I own an exclusive easement to get to my property (which is an island, or an enclave since it's not surrounded by water) this easement is the driveway from the highway to my land.  

I'd really like to see the foreclosure success rate of these stale notes, those outstanding for more than 2 years.I understand that many of these pools are simply be recycled by brokers.

As a younger person, I think growth will start bouncing south of downtown and in a few years when all of the highways are clogged, living in the far north will suck. 

I lived across from Lake Merritt for few weeks and that area is fairly okayish since it provides direct access to the highway. 

It may not be as much as mortgage loans, but the combination of outstanding student loans auto loans is a staggering amount.
