Everything in California is regulated and every regulation has a sound justification for being there (I voted for many of them), which in turn drives up the cost of living and slows down the building of new housing stock.If you own real estate in Coastal California (as I did), it's a great time to be selling it and moving to an area with a lower cost of living.
