Hi Biggerpockets, I've been a landlord for a few months now and I've been dealing with a tenant who reaches out constantly asking for this and that and I've complied with things that make sense but she is also very demanding and it makes conversations difficult to manage.

@Michael H.it's going to be heavily dependent on your personal situation, and the requirements of an individual lender, but yes, it could make it more difficult to qualify for conventional lending.with that said, a lot of us use DSCR loans and there, your DTI ratio is not a factor.so i wouldn't let this be a blocker to house hacking. 

The rent is $2600 and the mortgage is $1650 so i don’t want to evict or be difficult.

Is it much more difficult to deal with smaller local incurance providers compared to the bigger insurance companies like State Farm, Progressive during a claim?
