@Gareth Fisher  I see a lot of Hitachi and Mitsubishi out there, but I can't really vouch for them as I have not installed them in my own home yet.

Considering it's going out of business, probably not the best choice, just because parts and support will be a mess.Yes, I have circular saw (Skill) and a chop (miter) saw (Hitachi). 

After that, maybe a tossup between the Makita 18v recip saw and the Hitachi 10" laser miter saw.
