My goals is to move in 3 to 6 months to Utah - even rent an Air BNB for a month so I can look around for what to rent for 6 months until I have better idea of liquidity of my money to buy? 

I will be investing out of state so if I were to want to choose any state what would my first steps be ?

How is it a goal to have a lot of money tied up, a large personal liability, and significant time for no return a goal?
