@Jemini Leckie here's our standard approach to address basement seepage in order:1) Check gutters are not leaking and are large enough to handle downpours2) Make sure downspout extensions are far enough away from foundation, 10' is usually recommened, but further may be required due to land countours.3) Grading needs to slope away from foundation4) Check driveway-foundation seam and caulk WELL5) If still an issue, will need to start getting bids from companies that install drain tiles & sump pump.

I was thinking on placing a combo washer/dryer in the kitchen, there is a small space, but we have to run water lines from the basement and a drain hose.

We also have an opportunity to invest in a non traditional single family home, which would cost about $300K, with downpayment of $60K and after closing cost/minor repair etc etc - maybe $90K total - This would almost drain the 529, leaving about $15K.

Ask the building Dept what they see as issues or problems as they will be the ones to make this a go or no-go.Biggest issues are usually getting to the drain line.
