Who else has had to fire an employee?

Hi, Had the wonderful opportunity to hire my first employee this year. I have also now had to fire her. Has anyone been successful in avoiding paying unemployment? My employee lied, cheated and stole from us...more than once. She always denied it. But, we finally had the proof we needed. Everyone says it's impossible to fight and your employment taxes will go up. I'm looking for some tips...or mane just a social platform to share how unhappy having to do this has made me feel.

I have fought unemployment and won.  You can just explain that she was let go for good cause. Hopefully it will go your way.
