Man am I excited, I wont get into the details on here though. For that youll have to check out my page and see what I've written about!
So for all you with 0 experience to the pro's, I have a really basic question.
I'm in the middle of creating a business model, defining my business, and doing all the leg work to secure financing for it and what not. I've caught the bug, and I'm starting to get real creative with getting funding. Not only that but my network is expanding quite a bit and I need an organization to catch up. The thing that I'm struggling with is the name. I know, pretty lame. However it is the face of the company that everyone see's. Ive got 2 on my mind, but I'm open to opinions.
1) Frontier Real Estate Services
2) Frontier Investments
I'm sure everyone has similar ideas on how and what the organization will do, but so we are on the same page ultimately Id like to be a one stop shop (not necessarily a brokerage though). I want to buy houses, sell houses, and once it gets big enough and automated enough I'd like to manage the properties in the "company portfolio". If any one has suggestions or anything, that would be great! Thanks everyone!
I prefer Option 1. Best of luck in your business!
Thanks Christine! Why you say that?
I think you need to check the DBA database in you state and the federal one so you are not stepping on anyone's toes, also check for copyrights to that name through the federal government, and lastly, I think that the new marketing for housing with be with words like nysinc....the millennials will love it. LOL Okay that wa a joke.....But you de need to check if that name has been used and if so to what degree do the others using that name own it.
I have a friend with a DBA for 25 years never got a copyright on the name or logo. SOmeone like what they did found out they didn't register it with the right people, stole the name and logo by getting it registered and cost my friend 2 million to rebrand his company.
If you have any further question tag me.
Oh and by the way you can get a business consultant that would help you with all the start up things that you should be doing. Not that you need one to do the work but if you don't have a degree in business or accounting you will need some help.
I like 1 because it is clear that you are focusing on real estate.
The first thing I also check for is whether the domain is available and whether or not the name is taken when creating the company. It looks like both are taken. That doesn't mean you couldn't find another version of the website like frontierrealestate.services or something along those lines. I usually use register.com to do this. Can also buy the domain directly from there and plug it into your favorite website building website.
Thanks @Michele B. ! I'm actually looking into it now. And I also have a business laywer I'm working with based in Nashville to set it all up properly. Its all very undefined right now, so I'm trying to map it all out first before I go to him, because once that happens theres no stopping it.
@Wiley Strahan Thanks! Ya I just found that site and saw that too. That's why I was coming up with maybe something else. More then likely ill just end up doing a .net instead because I think that one wasn't taken.
I like 2, it will depend what type of services you are providing. if it is well rounded I would select 1. please check these names are already taken as this happened to me last year and I needed to remain my business.
