Single-member LLC vs Multi-member LLC

When forming an LLC with multiple members, what are the benefits and cons of choosing to create a multi-member LLC vs a single member LLC? Initially, I am aware that a single member LLC might be easier to file taxes on, but how many other things should I be considering?

Has anyone experienced issues with multi-member LLCs?

Hey Montrel,

I have only established single member LLCs in the past but I would imagine multi member LLCs are only as complicated as you would want to make them. If its as simple as an even split of profits between members, I would imagine that is easy to have an attorney write up. But if you have a more sophisticated distribution of profits, I would imagine it would take a bit more time and money with the attorney.
