How much do you charge for a deposit?

Congrats on being a new investor! In Chicago they made new laws that makes it a big headache to collect deposit so I just started doing a $700 non-refundable move in fee and move out fee. I do have higher end apartments but should work still for lower end units. I do require renter insurance and no prop management. I have new apartments so very little maintenance calls.
