Purchasing a Home (in the U.S.) From Abroad

Chauncey Glenn
Posted

Hey guys!

Chauncey here. I am feeling incredibly overwhelmed as I dive into the possibilities of real estate.

About Me:

I am a U.S. citizen, living and working abroad in South Korea.

Question:

1. How can I go about purchasing property in the U.S. from abroad and with a foreign income?

I’ve been speaking with lenders and mortgage brokers. I was told that I’d be able to grant someone with Power of Attorney.

2. Does anyone have experience purchasing a home from abraod, and or purchasing a home by granting someone with power of attorney?

3. What type of professional can I reach out to about this?

Thank you all so much.

perhaps look for a Certified International Property Specialist. These Realtors have earned the designation from The National Association of Realtors and specialize in representing international buyers purchasing in the US. realtor dot com has a filter to find these agents.
