Building studio in Single Family Zoning in Phoenix

Hello,

I have a property in Phoenix, AZ with a good location and a 8000 sqft lot. There's is more than enough space in the backyard to build a studio which would rent great in Airbnb (or traditional).

However, the zoning category is Single Family. Is there a way I can either change the zoning or legally build a studio?

Do you know what the zoning is with the city? You should be able to find that out on the Maricopa county assessor's website. If you need help let me know the address and I can provide you with more info if needed.
