New to Bigger Pockets

Bong Xiong
Posted

Hello Bigger Pockets,

I am new to Real Estate Investing. I've been listening to some audio books, BP podcasts, and have been trying to find a property to flip. I am located in North Saint Paul, Minnesota. I would definitely love to network and meetup with some more experienced investors to learn as much as I can.

Looking forward to talking, meeting, and learning from the BP Community!

    @Bong Xiong

    Welcome to BP! I've found some great deals through the MLS from tired land lords with tenants in place. I bought four SFRs this way and got a steal of a deal on each of them. I always go with the listing agent to help feel out the seller. They usually give you a sense of how desperate the seller is to just get rid of their homes. Then I come in with a low ball offer. And I've kept some inherited tenants that have worked out good! Don't be afraid to make low insulting offers on properties like this. You have nothing to lose.

    I’ve also snagged 3 off market properties just from word of mouth. Let people know you’re an investor always looking for deals. I just made an offer today from an off market deal that was brought to me. The seller and I came to a crazy low price agreement. I didn’t need another rental, but I won’t pass up a deal like this that was brought to me. So let people know what you’re doing.
