Hello, I just joined the BiggerPockets community! I am from North Dakota. I recently read the book on rental property investing and now I am interested in learning more on the subject. Since I am a ways away from purchasing anything, is there any tips on what I should be doing between now and than to expand my knowledge on the subject? So when the day comes I am ready. Besides reading books and using Google. Thanks!!

Go through the BP podcast descriptions and look for all the ones that suit what your current interests are. Too many new investors just start listening to them all, but you don't need to know about apartment syndications right now. You want to listen to the ones with new investors, young investors, ones that talk about how they got started. Take it slow and learn, just like you said. Knowing you are a ways off is actually a great thing. Too many are rushing to get into a game without the capital or knowledge to play well enough to succeed.
