American investing in Costa Rica. Advice please

Hello, I'm about to embark on a real estate project in Costa Rica and I believe in educating oneself before doing anything, especially since I'm not an expert by any means in this field.  So I was wondering if you knew of any articles and write-ups/blogs, any person to follow on YouTube or social media to learn from.  Or if you have any tips already or things to stay away from in Costa Rica please share them with me.  Any hurdles or challenges for an American investing in Costa Rica?
