What are real estate books that are good for beginners?

Rich dad poor dad is what started it all for me. It will change the way you see money and help you understand how to build wealth through real estate.

How to invest in real estate by brandon turner is a good starting book. Listen to a lot of podcasts esp. Early biggerpockets podcasts. ABCs of Buying Rental Property by Ken McElroy is good to. Absorb what you can and then start looking at deals and math them out. Learn all the stuff that goes into making a house function and what they cost to repair and to replace and their lifespans. Pick an easy first deal dont buy a huge first project.

@Adrian Olivarez : real estate investor meetings, usually you can find one in your area and these open so many doors to all kinds of investors. Take business cards and network like crazy

@Adrian Olivarez REI = Real Estate Investor meetings. Just Google search REI meetings near me and you will get some hits. Here in the DFW area I recommend DFW REI Club for beginning and experienced investors a like. I included their web site to give you an idea of what to look for: https://www.dfwreiclub.com/

@Adrian Olivarez definitely recommend Rich Dad Poor Dad. But then attend a local REI meeting. The networking with other investors and REI classes to help you get started are a whole lot cheaper than the Rich Dad training they offer.
