As a Realtor, can you help a relative sell his home not on MLS?

A friend of mine is a licensed Realtor. Her brother wants her to help him sell his home as "For Sale by Owner," without putting it on the MLS. Is she allowed to do that as long as she discloses to the public that she's a licensed agent when she comes in contact with them? Does she need to disclose to her brokerage firm even though the brother doesn't want her to list it?

If she is representing him as a Listing Agent then she needs to disclose that to both the public (i.e. potential buyers) and to her Broker, regardless of whether the home is on the MLS or not. If she's just giving him advise on pricing/marketing/etc but not actually representing him in negotiations then I'd be less concerned.

The bigger question in my mind though is: why is she asking her friend to ask an internet forum about this? She should go talk to her Broker about how to handle this correctly so that she doesn't risk her license, her brother's sale, and the professional reputation of Realtors in general.
