hello you guys. i am a new upcoming CRE agent in maryland. i am 22 years old and i just got done my pre-licensing and i am soon taking my exam to get my license.. in the future i am going to want to become a CRE investor but as of now i'm just starting off as an agent to try to learn as much as i can and so i can save some capital. i was just curious on how most of you fellow agents started off? i know it's important to find the right brokerage but what did you look for? and how do you guys maintain go get business everyday? any answers/advice will help!

First and foremost, you have to recognize that you are 100% responsible for building your business and whether you will be successful or not. A good Broker can help, but it's ultimately up to you.

Buy a book like "SOLD" by David Greene or "Real Estate Millionaire" by Gary Keller or "The First 90 Days" by Michael Watkins. These books will give you an idea of what you should be doing to start building a client base. You have to treat it like a business and hustle like a dog, particularly in today's market where there's limited inventory and an excess of agents. Figure out how you're going to network and market yourself and then hustle like your life depended on it.
