Closing costs
How much should I plan on spending on purchase closing costs (in Florida)? I've heard 3%, 6% and the calculator on this site just says 2000-3000. Can anyone give me a solid answer?

Yes. A title company in the area can give you a pretty accurate breakdown of the costs for a particular deal. Shop around, their charges can vary.
I use 2% of the purchase prices as a rule of thumb. That doesn't include any loan related costs (appraisal, origination fees, underwriting fees, pre-paids). That's usually on the high side.
