Just checking in with everyone on BP to see if anyone is familiar with this area when it comes to rentals. I'm looking to buy some SFH's that are priced right but I want to get a better idea of the rental market. Can anyone provide any insight?

One of the biggest things that makes buying houses in small towns in your team. Especially if you are out of town, it is hard to get your team to want to operate in those areas such as contractors, property managers, realtors, etc. The price may look nice, but the additional cost of your team is not going to make it worth it, not to mention your tenant base is much smaller.
