Where to park money?

Hello everyone, I am curious where people park their cash while waiting to purchase a property? Regular savings account? I will be selling my primary residence soon and would like to have access to the cash but it may sit a while while I look and my wife and I decide to rent and purchase a rental or two or purchase another primary residence but that's a whole other discussion! haha.
