What documents to be gathered after loan pay off?
Hello, Wanted to know what are all the documents to collect after a loan payoff.
The loan payoff could be due to sale of property OR early payoff than term of loan. What constitutes complete loan closure. Is it just the bank or mortgagee provides loan closure OR if there is a Note holder, do we need to get a statement from them about loan closure.
Is there a title transfer that needs to happen at the point, including filing at the county? Appreciate your help. Thanks.
