Becoming Your Own Licensed Home Inspector (Save Time & Money!?)

With the high demand for home inspector professionals, it has become a major hurdle to schedule one in short time spans. When getting a property under contract, instead of rushing to shop around for an inspector to visit the property and having him/her create a report all within the inspection period (so stressful!), I have considered pursuing my own home inspector license so that I can avoid this.  I would be able to save days during the inspection period and potentially save myself a few hundred dollars. Have any of you acted as your own official inspector professional on any of your properties? Do you see any potential problems that could arise? Is it worth the time and hassle to go through the studying and licensing process in order to save time and money during the inspection period?

What do you think?

@Julian Pilate-Hutcherson Yes I inspect everything myself and never use an inspector.  You don't have to BE a licensed inspector to inspect for your own purposes.
