I want to clean up the property history

Posted

We listed our home for an exhorbinant amount due to a realtor telling us it was worth way more than it was. It sat on the market for many years and we finally took it off. then the asking price was several hundred thousand less...it still did not sell after one year so we took it off and did major renovation. we rellisted. A truck hit our garage and we were completely without the ability to fix it in  a timely manner due to the time of year could not get a decent contractor to work on it We desperately want to relist but we understand that the property history given what it has become is a major deterent and we feel that we will continue to go round and round. Realtor.com actually projected the value of our home to continually decrease at the rate of 2% per year! We think that our last Broker black balled us because he wouild not even give us an unconditional release after the damage to our garage! How can Zillow help us?

"It sat on the market for many years"    I'm speechless.

"It still did not sell for one year"  Incomprehensible.

Are you ready to listen to reason or do you just want to hear a high price?   A property priced appropriately for the market and its condition, should sell quickly.  Get thoughts from several agents.  Examine the comps.  Choose wisely.  If it does not sell quickly, that is your fault, nobody else's.
