I am new to the real estate investment game. I live in Seattle. I was thinking to invest in Tacoma Multi-family units (4-Plex), mainly because I think cash flow is better than Seattle multi-plexes (I own a four-plex in Seattle.) However, I have less to no information on where to invest in Tacoma and what are the businesses around which will make the housing market in demand.
A couple of questions here:
1. Can you please recommend few neighborhoods in Tacoma which are good for owning multi-family units?
2. Are you a multi-family unit owner in Tacoma? I would love to connect with you and learn from your experiences.
3. Can you recommend real estate agents who specialize in finding off-market multi-family units in Tacoma?
Thank you in advance!
@Smita Rahatadkar Hi Smita. I am a agent in the area that work with investors. I also invest in multi family and single family in Tacoma. I would be happy to help you and get together. Msg me your contact info and let's put something together for next week.
Hi @Smita Rahatadkar I have some small multi in Tacoma, Lakewood, Lacey and Yelm.
Most of Tacoma is pretty good. There are a few neighborhoods I would avoid. I live in Tacoma too. Shoot a message if you want an opinion.
I’m not an agent or anything but I’ll try to help.
Hey @Smita Rahatadkar ! Welcome to BiggerPockets. My wife and I own a portfolio of rental properties in and around Tacoma. There are several great areas, each with their own pros and cons. Tacoma has a lot going for it from a demographic and economic standpoint. I’ve helped a number of investors find properties in the area and would be happy to chat with you. Looking forward to connecting!
Hey Smita! I am in the same boat as you and am wondering what area you eventually invested? Were there any bumps in the road? What areas did you avoid? Thanks
