Bought an SFR I was able to house hack , converted to a rental, and eventually built a spec duplex and sold. My learn on this. I should have kept one unit and paid off the construction loan with the gains. Would be debt free on over $4K/Mo cash flow. But am not disappointed on how it turned out, because hindsight it always 20/20.
