Looking for Advice/Mentorship just starting out

Justin Wells
Posted

Hello! Me and my wife have recently been investing our time to educate and learn as much as possible about real estate. I’m 29 years old and we currently rent in brevard county FL. My wife is considering getting her license and working part time realtor as she has sales experience. I hold a decent amount of capital which I tend on using to start investing in real estate properties. Based on advice I’ve seen given to others starting in real estate investing is that house hacking is key. However finding a multiplex property in our local area for under 500k is nearly impossible at the moment. Any advice/mentorship would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Hi Justin! I am an agent in Houston, and in my opinion getting your license provides a great advantage.

If multi-units are tough to find under 500K, try house hacking with a single-family home and renting out a room or garage apartment. I would also consider nearby areas with more options.

I wish you the best of luck!
