How do you underwrite buyer demand when buying notes?

When you purchase a performing note, how do you estimate the future buyer market if you want to resell later? Do you focus on current yield, borrower credit, or exit assumptions? I’d love to hear a few practical rules of thumb you use to decide whether to hold or sell.
