As a newbie I am right on the very tip of my RE investing experience. As such, I am absorbing as much information as I can, but at some point I'm going to have to jump into the pool. So, my question for you all is this: How long did it take you from beginning to ponder REI to closing your first deal?

I had wanted to buy real estate since my parents did a 1031 exchange at 12 and the realtor gave me his password to look at the mls :)

I seriously had look at it since I was 19. Although we bought a houses within 3 months when we were actually ready at 23. Since than we bought 5 houses in 3 years, with a goal of 5 more in 18 months :) So once we were ready we took off running and haven't looked back!
