Zoning from multi family to single family

Posted

Hello,

I own 2 houses on a lot in Los Angeles zoned as multi-family/duplex.  I haven't gone to zoning yet but wonder if anyone knows if it's possible to change zoning to single family.  I have tenants in there now.

Thanks

@Stephan Bataillard I don't see the benefit of doing so. If the houses were built as multifamily, I don't see why the change would make sense. It is better to be zoned multifamily and have a single family live in it than to be zoned single family and not be able to use it as a multifamily.
