Flipping or holding in the market right now

New investor here in North Carolina. Do you guys think it’s a safer play to fix and hold in these circumstances right now , or a fix and flip is still good depending on market.

The question is way too broad. It's all neighborhood and area driven. What kind of property are you even talking about? Single-family, multi-family, condo? What you really deciding between when you compare fix and hold versus fix and flip is:

1. Is the cash I can get out of the flip right now good enough to warrant taking this money and using it for something else? (flip and sell)

2. Is there a strong potential of appreciation coming based on gentrification or neighborhood influx? (flip and hold)

3. Is there a strong rental market right now that can hold this property at its value for a while so I can hedge for more appreciation over time? (hybrid)
