real estate investing as a teen with little money

Grant Fielding
Posted

Hello I live in Florida and I am still a high school student going into my senior year and have been doing work in the fashion and e-commerce business for 3 years now and now want to take my passion of entrepreneurship to the real estate business. What can I do at the age of 18 with little capital in Florida to get into real estate?

Why do you want to get into real estate? Do you like houses? Do you like design? Are you interested in being a landlord? Or do you think it can make big money without using any money (it can't)? Asking how a teen with no money can invest in real estate is like asking if a teen with no money should get married. They can't and it's not a good idea. You have to examine what you are looking to do and why? At 18, if you are going after quick money, it will cause many failed exercises. If you reset your expectations and think of it is as building a foundation for future success and networking with investors who can teach you something in exchange for something you can bring to the table, you might set a better course.
