Hello everyone!! Im a veteran and qualify for the VA loan. Im planning on looking for a duplex to house hack in the Twin Cities, MN, and I was wondering if I should even bother looking into other loans? Thank you for your time!!!! Jeremiah

If you want to build a portfolio....consider an FHA Loan FIRST. Buy a duplex withe the FHA Loan....and then in a year move out of the duplex....and use your VA loan to househack again.

The FHA will NOT give you a loan if you already have another mortgage within 100 miles so that's why you want to use an FHA Loan first.
