I am considering buying an investment property that would require me to take out a loan. This is my first time doing this. What is the minimum downpayment I will need as it will be a non owner occupied loan that I will be trying to find. Preferably a 15 year loan.

@Tom Brickman nice to see a fellow Texan here. Your down payment requirement is dependent on the property type and the loan type. In general though, for single family homes your down payment is 15% and for 2-4 units it's 25% down. These are pretty steep for anyone and that's why Bigger Pockets talks about the BRRRR method. That method helps limit your out of pocket costs when acquiring investment properties. Let me know if you have any other questions and maybe out paths will cross at one of these real estate groups in DFW. Thanks!
