Guidelines for what to expect to pay a CPA for first year LLC taxes

Hello!

We were just hit with, what I feel is, an exorbitant tax prep bill of $1850. It's a new LLC with just one NNN rental income source. This cost equals 5.5% of our gross income for the year (nearly 2/3rds of one months income) and I am wondering if that sounds right? Should I be looking for another CPA?

@Corinna Woodcock this was a Partnership? If so that is pretty standard for a one off fixed fee.

Nothing is apples to apples though when it comes to scope and pricing. Every CPA bills differently and includes different items. Some bill fixed fee, some hourly, some have subscription models.

What did this include? Was all bookkeeping reconciled etc?
