Separating cost of land and buildings - Tax purpose

Kumar Ku
Posted

What is qualified as a reliable online tool/website for tax purposes to calculate the current home value so I can calculate the land value?

From my county property assessor's website, the land/building percentage is 22% for 2022/23. I purchased my first rental in 2021 and was able to use the original cost or basis to calculate the land value. This year, I am not sure how to calculate the appreciated cost or basis of the home. Any help/advice/direction will be of great help.

Thanks
