Renting a house or apartment in New York is very difficult for landlords. Rent control and a long eviction timeline are just two of the frustrating aspects of being a landlord in New York. The eviction process in New York has historically taken up to a year from beginning to end. Now, that eviction process has timeline has doubled. During the 110th episode of The Ask James Wise Show, rental property expert James Wise is discussing how New York's new Attorney General, Letitia James has doubled eviction timeline to two years. It can now take up to two years for a landlord to be able to evict a tenant in New York.
