Underage Internship / Shadowing

Hello everyone, I'm a student (16 yr) at a high school and I'm trying to get in to real estate. Are people willing to let highschoolers be an intern or shadow them in a way? I would be willing to help with their social media or marketing.

Hey @Randy Castellon!  Great job getting started in real estate at such a young age! To answer your question - Yes! Many people are willing to help a young person (even high school age) by having them as an intern, employee, or mentee. However, you will need to work to find them and establish the relationship. Reach out to people in your local area (DM on social media, email, call, or even stop by in person) and explain your ambition. Don't forget to mention how young you are! It is impressive, and most will see that as something they will love to help with.

I have a book (published by BiggerPockets) that you might find helpful. It’s called 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧.

I also run a networking group for young aspiring/beginner investors (between 15 and 26 years old), and one of the things we do is have a few Zoom meetings every month. If you'd like to join one sometime (no cost!), just let me know.
