@Randy E. Keep in mind that the abandonment statute you quoted has to deal with what is considered "abandoned" when dealing with disposition of property less than $750 in value and to a nonprofit organization who is then willing to hold it for 30 days in case the tenant comes looking for it.
For people reading the quoted portion, you can NOT simply get rid of someone's stuff after 10 days. It is actually much easier and a better way to CYA is to simply file an eviction and then get rid of the items in whatever manner you choose after the sheriff does the lock out.
