Interest but no applications

House has been for rent (zillow, etc) for two weeks. Showings and multiple inquiries every day since it was posted. People seem positive and excited.

Then they never come back with an application. What's going on? How can we get someone to move in and not just look?

Have applications and pens available when you show the place and encourage them to fill out an application on the spot if they're interested.  I have much better luck doing that than giving out applications and getting them back later.
