Ice fell off roof and onto tenant’s boyfriend’s truck...
He contacts his insurance .
This could also fall under the General Liability Insurance of the Landlord. I would at least do a “report only” to cover yourself. The auto insurance for the boyfriend could handle the claim, then surrogate against the Landlord or they might not do anything at all.
Been with State Farm for 17 yrs. The truck policy must cover it, not the Landlord policy.

This should be his insurance liability not yours.
@Craig Garrow - I'd make sure your roof is properly insulated. With a well-insulated roof, there usually isn't ice buildup. If it's poorly insulated- the heat will melt the snow, then as the water will freeze to ice as it runs down to a lower, colder point on the roof.
Not only are you wasting energy if this is occurring- next time, it might be a person under that giant icicle!
